My drive out to California from Chicago was a one dream of a road-trip and I was on a mission... I had a party to get to in Burbank!!! My longtime friend Kelli Bixler, of BixPix Entertainment (stop motion animation) was having a bash and I was going to be there! As a result of this pressing need to get on the road, I was just hours ahead of a freak, early-winter snow storm rather than in the middle of it. It was on my heals starting in Denver and on through the mountains. Whew! Got to the LA area three days after leaving Chicago and even had time to get a manicure and my hair cut before the party! In the words of Cassandra Rae, "Woo Hoo!"

If you have a quick sec, check out Kelli's handiwork as Exec Producer on The Roadents!

Jewelry Designer
Author and Speaker

Born and raised just outside Philadelphia, I moved to Chicago after college and San Jose in 2008. I now have two decades of experience in jewelry design including countless hours of mentoring by expert artisans and ten “hands on” years in fine jewelry manufacturing. As a result I bring a wealth of knowledge about materials, craftsmanship and style to the table. Beyond jewelry, I have a passion for words and the intentional use of language. I believe we create our experience in life and am writing a book on the topic because I am curious… What else is possible? ~ Suzanne Bayles

So Why a Blog?

This blog is for all of us. Selfishly, it’s a way for me to have all of my projects in one place so I can see progress over time & know your thoughts about them. As the blog grows it will provide practical info on both jewelry and the intentional use of language. Strange bedfellows perhaps.  Welcome to my world!

Gratitude

I am fortunate to have the love and support of family and friends across the country; one in particular has known me since I was barely old enough to ride a tricycle in her driveway. Much love to all!
